How CocoWire Works
Full guide — map, coconuts, drawing entries, levels, perks, rare birds, crew challenges, and push notifications.
Create Your Character → Appear on the Map
Tap the CocoWire bird logo at the top-left of the header to design your unique bird character. Your character appears on the live map so other players can see you, and it unlocks the two key header taps that drive everything else.
Note: Creating your character does not earn coconuts — it gives you your first monthly drawing entry and unlocks daily gameplay.
Two Different Taps, Two Different Rewards
Character Badge Tap
Tap your character (top-left) each day to earn +1 drawing entry for that month's cash prize drawing. More entries = better odds to win.

Coconut Badge Tap
Tap the 🥥 (top-right of header) to collect your +1 daily coconut. Streak milestones can add bonus coconuts on top.

Key difference: Drawing entries → monthly cash prize drawing. Coconuts → level up → unlock better sponsor perks. They are completely separate systems.
Visit Sponsor Pins → Earn Coconuts + Unlock Perks
Purple pins on the map are CocoWire sponsors — real local businesses. Tap a pin while you're physically nearby, check in, and earn coconuts based on the sponsor's tier. Sponsors also post social tasks (tweet, share a story, leave a Google review) for additional coconut bonuses.
Tip: Higher-tier sponsors award more coconuts per visit. Check the Perks tab at each pin — your level unlocks different offers.
Earn 🥥 → Level Up → Unlock Better Perks
Coconuts fuel your progression through 10 levels. Higher levels unlock premium sponsor perks — exclusive discounts, freebies, and offers. Coconuts come from daily taps, sponsor check-ins, social tasks, rare bird captures, crew challenges, and referrals (coconuts only — not drawing entries).

Rare Bird Sightings — Instant Reward at Sponsor
Sponsors hide rare collectible birds near their pins. When one goes live, a countdown timer appears on the map. Walk to the pin before it expires and tap Capture — you earn bonus coconuts instantly at the sponsor location and unlock a permanent sighting badge for that species.
Tip: Rare birds are first-come, first-served. Enable push notifications to get alerted the moment one appears nearby.
Crew Challenges — Instant Coconut Reward at Sponsor
Look for ⚡ pins near sponsors on the map. Tap to join an open crew challenge. Once the crew fills up, everyone completes the task together — then collects their coconut bonus instantly at the sponsor location. Great for squads and groups exploring together.

Each sponsor can attach perks to their pin — discounts, freebies, exclusive offers. Your level gates which perks you can claim. Perks have a redemption limit per user and may expire. Some sponsors enable fallback perks so lower-level players still get something.

CocoWire Ambassadors help local businesses launch stronger perks, drive real redemptions, and improve sponsor performance. This is not an influencer gimmick — it is a real operator role with commission tied to verified results.

Commission is based on confirmed sponsor performance and validated redemptions, with admin review and payout controls.
Monthly Cash Prize Drawing
At the end of each month, one drawing entry is randomly selected as the winner. Every entry is an independent ticket — 10 entries = 10 chances. Create your character for your first entry, then tap your character badge in the header every day to stack more. Winners are announced on the Past Winners page and notified by email.
Referrals do not add drawing entries. Inviting friends earns coconuts only. Drawing entries come from your character and daily badge taps (and certain crew challenges).
Stay Alerted — Rare Birds, Drawings, Crew Invites
Enable notifications in the hamburger menu → Permissions to get Web Push alerts for: rare bird appearances near you, monthly drawing results, crew challenge invitations, and occasional sponsor promos. On iPhone you must add CocoWire to your Home Screen first to enable Web Push.
